Eighth graders read the book “Why Should I Save Water?” to kindergarten and first graders and discussed the ideas in the story this week.

They also explained that water that runs down the drain needs to be cleaned before it can be used again.

When someone lets water run, the clean water is mixed with dirty water, and needs to go through a cleaning process that begins with removing large particles of dirt.

The 8th graders then demonstrated by running dirty water through a filter.
